IMR SHOTSHELL DATA

The loads shown in this section should be followed just as they are. These loads are like recipes. The closer they are followed, the better the resultant load.

WARNING!

The shotshell data section offers a wide selection of target and field loads. There have been a number of changes and modifications in shotshell components which make it increasingly important that the handloader carefully check all of the components being used to insure that they are the same as shown. If you have reason to question any of your components, contact the manufacturer.

All of the shotshell data presented were developed using lead shot. Do not attempt to reload any of the loads listed using steel shot. Substituting steel shot in any load developed for lead shot could be very dangerous.

To obtain a reasonable duplication of the ballistic results listed, you must reload exactly as shown. Substitution of components especially primers and/or alteration in powder charge or type of powder could result in extremely dangerous reloads. Good, uniform, efficient reloads result only from careful reloading procedures. Always check power and shot weights on a reliable scale, use the exact components specified, seat wads properly and use only cases that are in good condition. Never leave to chance the powder type and/or weight and the lead shot weight that you are loading in a shell. Inspect all reloaded shells to insure that the crimp closely duplicates that of factory loads.

This data must be used only with IMR Smokeless Powders. Never use this data for powders that may have similar numerical designations!
